So last night was the opening of a really fresh photography exhibit called True Hip-Hop at AE District in Miami’s Design District. It featured the work of a very well known photographer named Mike Schreiber. Mike’s got a new book out also titled True Hip-Hop. He’s been documenting hip-hop’s best for the last 12 years. His work has been featured in a lot of major magazines (the internet hasn’t killed them yet) and album covers.
Mike was selling and signing copies of his book. Talib Kweli showed up too and spoke to the crowd. He dropped some serious knowledge letting us all know that we should always be working towards our dreams. The candid photos and upscale vibe made this a great hip-hop event.
You can pick up copy of the book True Hip-Hop on Amazon or at a book store near you.
Here’s some of Mike Schreiber’s work that is in the book and was featured at the gallery…

- M.I.A.

- Mos Def

- Slick Rick (I think he should be an honorary Psyclops member. No one looks cooler with one eye showin. No offense Ike)

- NAS
Since we got NAS above (one of the greatest MC’s of all time, no questions asked) and since here at PsyclopsHQ we love to spread positive messages, we figured we’d throw up one of the most positive hip-hop videos of all time…
You can be what you wanna be be be B-boyz and girlz.
Also don’t forget Psyclops is gonna be makin’ major moves at Designer Con on November 20th so come out and show us some love. We also got a fresh contest where someone stands to come up on some great free Pysclops goodies so make sure your following us on Twitter and Facebook.
